The web giant unveiled their own set-top box, which uses the Android operating system and an Intel processor at its I/O developer conference. “The devices will all be compatible with keyboards, with Chrome as a web browser and full Flash support” the company said, as well as a version of the Android Market.
According to Google, videos should be viewed on the biggest and best screen in the household, the television, with the slogan of “TV meets Web. Web meets TV”.
Sony will also be releasing internet-enabled TVs and Blu-Ray players running the software platform.
